What size of circular polarizer filter i can use for 18-55mm lens?

I have a nikon d5100 DSLR camera and the lens is 18-55mm, i didn;t know what size of circular polarizer filter i use… I'm new to DSLR world hehe so help anyone can help me…

If you look on your lens, you will see that it takes 52 mm filters.

When you buy other lenses, they will also indicate the size filters they use or you can visit the Nikon website and look at the specifications of the over 70 different lenses made by Nikon to determine the filter size you need.

Hopefully you have a 52 mm UV filter on your lens to protect it from sticky fingers, dust and even mud.
