What is the suitable monopod head for manfrotto 680b?

I just bought a manfrotto monopod 680b. My camera is nikon d90 with the battery grip, weigh around 2.5 kg. I was wondering what would be the suitable manfrotto monopod head for me that is able to tilt - and + 90 degree and rotates 360 degree.

Any two-way head will work.

I too use a Manfrotto monopod. When shooting with long lenses, however I mount my long lenses on the monopod, NOT the camera and use the rotating ring on the lens when I want to move the camera from the landscape to portrait

You don't need to rotate the head, 360 degrees. The monopod just rotates on the ground as you pan with the action. Tilting is just a matter of tilting the monopod.

My feeling is you haven't tried using the monopod yet or you would know that unless you are using a heavy long lens like a 300 mm f/2.8, you don't really need a monopod.

Look on page 37 of your user manual. If you use those suggestions you will not need a monopod until you get a heavy lens on your camera.

It seems that you want to use a monopod as you would a tripod, using a 3-way head.

Have you ever seen a monopod in use?

Here is a shot I recently took using a 300 mm f/2.8 lens mounted on a Manfrotto monopod
