Time lapse for Nikon D3100?

I know that the Nikon D3100 does not have the time lapse feature but I have heard that you can get a wireless remote so you can still get the time lapse effect. Does anyone have any recommendations on good devices that they know of or use?

The D3100 is not compatible with any infrared remotes. You're need an intervalometer for time lapses.
