Nikon d60 not saving pictures
I've had this camera for a few months with no problems but yesterday I went to take some photos and it seemed as if everything was fine until I noticed it was showing the picture right after I took it and I tried to look at the pics and it said "folder contains no images" I have no idea what the issue is bc I haven't changed any settings. I'm wondering if my roommate could have something to do with this bc I recently let her use it a few times in a row and yeaterday was the first time I used it in about a month. Is this just an issue the camera is having? Or was something done to it? Is it repairable and if so how do I do it?
Check if a memory card is installed. If there's one, try formatting it. If it still doesn't work, try another memory card, preferably a new one.
I'm with Keerok here. Methinks your roommate took out the memory card. Another possibility is that she kept taking pictures. And deleting them instead of formatting the card. That practice can corrupt any memory card and ruin it. Suggestion? Buy a couple of SD memory cards as they're fairly inexpensive.
My standard procedure, when I visit a store like Target or Best Buy, is to set their DSLR's to demo mode (most clerks have no idea what this is). That way, customers can take demo photos without a memory card in the camera. Nothing is saved (no card, remember?) but at least the customers can try the cameras out.
Your roomie may have done the same.
