I'm trying to shoot a POV video much like how FPS games are. I'm using a Nikon D3100 and have no clue how to. I can't any harness or rig so what's the cheapest easiest way to do it.

You need a kit like this.

The problem is holding the camera steady, there's nothing worse than a video that's bouncing all over the place, it makes the video virtually unwatchable. You need to stabilise the camera.

The cheapest, but least effective way, is a cradle, sometimes called a 'Halo' rig.

Then a shoulder rig, the most common type at all price levels, the more points of contact with your body there are the more stable the camera is.

This eBay listing shows some of the cheaper ones of both these types

Best of all is a camera stabiliser or steadycam, this does the opposite to a shoulder rig and the rig itself stabilises the camera usually with a pendulum, these work really well.

Google "video stabiliser rig" or "steadycam" or similar there are loads of DIY solutions for all types, some good, some not so good.
