It should come with a charger and mains lead.

Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the charger, plug the charger into the wall, and READ THE F**KING MANUAL while you're waiting.

If you don't have a manual, you can download one free from Nikon.

High performance batteries on DSLRs are large, so large that they can only be charged on a specific built charger. No USB powered device would have the capacity to charge these batteries.

If the person that sold you your camera did not include a charger, you got ripped off.

Basically, you take the battery out of the camera, put it on a charger, and then replace it in the camera when the battery is charged.

The Nikon D60 will not charge directly from the computer. There should be a MH-23 battery charger included with the camera when you bought it. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera. You open it, take the battery out and put it on the charger. It should charge within an hour. If the battery is new it will take closer to two hours.

If no battery charger was included then go back and talk to the person that sold you the camera and get the charger as it should be included with the camera. If you can't contact the person then you can buy a new charger from bhphotovideo.com for $40 or order from Nikon direct for $60.

Try picking up and start reading the Owners Manual which comes with the camera for a reason

The information is on Page 16 of the Owners Manual

You don't charge THE camera, you charge the battery or batteries that are used in the camera by using a separate charger plugged into the a/c outlet. Just got a new camera and no instruction book came with it. Boy oh boy, you just can't trust those Nikon people, can you?
