How long will a nikon d3000 last until it breaks?
So i've had my nikon d3000 since march. And i was just wondering if it will eventually just break on its own? Or will i have this camera for like 5 years +. I never dropped it or anything. I feel like its getting worn out. I don't really use it as much as i should. Are these cameras built to last a while?
Yes…
The 3 most vulerable parts are the shutter, LCD and Battery… The Auto-Focus motor maybe.
that being said, there's no reason if you keep the camera stored in an evironmentally controlled area for it to last 10+ years. My Nikon D40 works great even after 4 years. I always put it waway when i'm done, never get it wet and charge the batteries before they die. Congrats on owning a Nikon… One of the best brands in the world.
DSLR cameras from… Well almost every company are build to last a great deal of time.
My Nikon D40 is on it's 4th year of being used.
I know some photographers that still use their cameras that they bought in the early, early 2000's for fun. They will stop working some day, but until that happens, they will work endlessly.
if you take care of your gear, it can easily go 5, 6 years.
