I recently purchased a used Nikon d7000, yes this is my first camera that is more on the professional side, and i would like to take a video for my friend and his band. They'll be playing in a down town pub, but the only problem is i have NO idea how to turn the camera on to video. I'm a beginner, so any video-taking information would help!
but it'd be great if i could actually figure out how to get it to record… Thanks!

also- how is sound quality? And if i wanted to upload this to Facebook, would it turn out good?

http://www.nikondigitutor.com/eng/d7000/index.html

you can learn prosumer DSLR in a just a few minutes without opening the manual. In a mix of slides and videos, the website teaches you how to browse through the d7000's menu, how to start taking pictures and viewing them, how to use different shooting modes, how to set the autofocus and so on…

Yeah, flick the live view switch, hit the red record button thats on the lv switch, which is located to the top right of the lcd screen.

DON't LISTEN TO THE HATERS. The d7000 takes great video

i shot that all with the d7000, and i plugged a mic into the mic port to record the audio, except for the resturant interviews i had my settings messed up and it took it on the front mic, so its a good example of how the audio will sound.

but in the future, canon takes better video always
