Does SIGMA 18-250MM F3.5-6.3DC OS [Canon & Nikon] a Macro Lens?

Guys SIGMA 18-250MM F3.5-6.3DC OS [Canon & Nikon] a Macro lens? This is what i'm planning to buy for my Nikon D3000.:/

That lens is a zoom lens, not a macro lens. From Canon and Nikon, the macro lenses are fixed I believe, so 85mm, 105mm, all the way up to 200mm fixed.
you can use it for your D3000, but its more general purpose for wide angle- medium telephoto. It's not a specialty lens

It is not a true macro lens, but many lenses like this include "macro" in the name. In this case, they are referring to the ability to focus at a closer distance than a "non-macro" telephoto zoom. It's marketing speak, not a true capability of the lens.

Yes, that is a telephoto type of zoom lens, not fixed. That has settings up to 250mm.
