Does Nikon j1 come with a memory card?

I'm planning to buy a nikon j1 and was wondering if a memory card is included so I can order it at the same time.

Very few cameras include a memory card, sometimes the place you buy it may include one to "sweeten the deal", but usually they prefer to sell you one.

I'd rather go for a Nikon D3100. The J1 lacks a view-finder you can look through. As well as a hot-shoe for a flash. Even a Nikon P500 would be better.

Hardly any cameras come with memory cards unless the store is offering it as some kind of bundle pack. Did you know though that you can get the Olympus PEN E-Pl1 on Amazon for half the price of the Nikon J1 and the E-Pl1 has a larger sensor and more lenses and accessories available for it? You could also get a Nikon D3100 for less than the J1.

Cameras do not come with a memory card in the factory release package. If one is given (seemingly) for free, then that is part of a bundle the distributor or reseller offers. To be sure ask. To be doubly sure, buy one at the same time. To be be absolutely sure, test the memory on the camera you are buying to see both works before bringing it home.
