I personally would go with the Cannon DSLR. Don't get me wrong they are both great cameras but after using both i think that the cannon's photo quality and features are slightly better.i've had two cannon DSLRs and they have held up well and take amazing photos.

Well, for a friendly tool I would say Canon; for its results: Nikon.
But, besides the lenses issue, have thought of other brands like Olympus… After their problems with weird SmartMedia cards and short life batts, they've delivering us great cameras!

I say Canon. Someone else says Nikon. How does that help you at all?

It only proves people use both brands and that you can do the same on both.

What is your budget, and what are you looking for?

Canon EOS T2i, T3i, Nikon D3100, D5100 and Pentax K-r are great.

It is best.Canon EOS Rebel T3i takes the consumer level dSLR a couple steps closer to the mid-level Canon 60D with the addition of the rotating rear LCD screen, remote flash firing, and in-camera processing features. The already highly competent, older Rebel T2i already shared many important features with the 60D (and even features of the semi-pro 7D) including the 18 MP sensor, 63-zone exposure metering system, high ISO performance, HD movie capabilities, and Digic 4 image processor. With these new upgrades, it might make it even more difficult to choose between them. But there are some important differences.
