Can I use Tripods For Any DSLR Camera?
I Have Nikon D7100
You should be able to. Tripods come with a standard thread to fit most cameras and, very often, with an adapter for a different size (though I have never needed it for anything).
The tripod screws are nearly universal so yes.
But with a heavier DSLR - you don't want the $35 give-away tripod (although it is better than nothing). A higher end tripod will be more sturdy and solid often with cross-braces that you can hang sand bags from for more stability. The head will often have bubble levels so you can check you are horizontal.
I like ones with quick-release plates. I bought several extra so now I can switch from a padded clamp for my smart phone, to my camcorder or my DSLR in a few seconds.
Some of the better tripod brands have "smoother" heads that let you change the angle while shooting video.
I don't have a suggested make or model for tripods so you are going to have to do your own research.
As long as you bought them from a camera store, yes.
Technically yes. There are a few caveats to be aware of. Cheap tripods made solely of plastic are often too flimsy to be used with a heavier camera like the D7100.
Some of the cheaper models come with a video head which you would not want for your camera.
When buying a tripod, you often will have the option of buying it with or without a head. Manfrotto, Gitzo and Really Right Stuff are the best on the market, and they all sell the legs separate from their heads, and they also have complete kits at a reduced price too. The benefit of buying one of these brands is the great support that you'll have. Not only in terms of customer or technical support, but also in the numerous amount of accessories that they offer.
The screw on the bottom of all cameras is 1/4 - 20 (pronounced Quarter Twenty) thread size which is found on just about every tripod head made. So just as long as the tripod head has a 1/4-20 screw, you can mount your camera onto it.
Whether you should use any particular tripod depends upon your needs, and especially the weight of the gear and the focal length of your lens.
They have the same socket. Pocket tripods are likely to collapse or fall over under a DSLR.
Most tripods have standard threads. But don't buy a $20 tripod from Wally World.
Make sure you can buy in a store where you can test how stable the tripod is.
Yes.
All DSLRs, and most other caneras, have tripod sockets.
