Will changing the battery on Panasonic Lumix FZ8?

Screw up the settings? My girlfriend takes pretty nice pictures BUT is Zero with Tech…
She needs to replace the battery on her FZ8 and is worried that all her personal settings will go.
Logicaly, for example on My Nikon D50 when i pull the battery the settings stay put… Is it the same deal on a Lumix?

the camera has a watch battery inside

It shouldn't. If you're worried, note down all the pertinent settings now before you take the battery out.
