I rarely use a bag anymore, except when I'm traveling distance. Then, I pack everything in a Kata 467… Laptop, camera/camcorder, chargers, cables, etc. Even a spare change of clothes.

One issue with buying a camera bag that has the camera logo on it is you are removing all doubt and inviting theft of expensive gear. Even if you don't use it for camera gear, it could "advertise" the same.
Its always best to have as incognito of a bag as possible.

For accessories like tripods and camera bags, I don't think Nikon is very discriminating about what they put their name on. Tamrac and Lowepro are probably better brands for bags.
