Why won't my nikon L830 turn on?
Why won't my nikon L830 turn on? - 1
The big problem is batteries - digital cameras drain them VERY quickly.
You need AT LEAST Alkalines, not the cheapest ones you can afford, and you're better off with Lithium, or rechargeables.
To be honest, you could've bought something much better than the dire L830.
Almost all P&S cameras that use AA batteries are optimized to use rechargeable NiMH batteries and the best of those are the low self-discharge batteries.
I keep 24 of them and 12 battery charger in my office at all times. My AA batteries are used in my electronic flash units and for the past three or more years, I have not had to buy any AA alkaline batteries
You picked the L830 probably due to its attractive price and the fact it uses AA batteries, thinking that if you needed fresh batteries, you would not have to carry a charger around with you if you have a more expensive P&S camera that used Li-ion batteries. Good in theory, but not very practical when the only AA batteries you can find are the very inexpensive and short lived Zinc-Carbon batteries
Because you're not wearing lacy underewear.
Recharge overnight or replace with a fresh new set of alkaline batteries 'chever the case may be. If the camera still fails to start in the morning, throw it away and buy a new one. Repairs are more expensive.
First suspect is always the battery.
If you use alkaline then stop! Use rechargeable AA with minimum 2300mAh capacity.
If you are using rechargeables then make sure they are fully charged. If they won't charge then replace them (they don't last for ever!). If new ones don't solve the problem it could be the charger that is faulty
Dead battery is #1 cause.
Not having the battery in the camera is #2.
Being a total piece of garbage camera is #3.
