Why is accessing photos on my camera not working?

I have a Nikon L120. Every time I try to upload pictures, it takes about 15 minutes per picture to upload. I don't have the patience (and the camera doesn't have the battery) to upload all 100+ pictures in this manner so I cancelled the upload, trying instead to find the image files manually through Windows Explorer, but the camera still takes like 10 minutes to load the folder with the images in it. What on earth is going on and what can I do to fix this problem?

Sounds like you have memory card issues. Try fixing the card with Chkdsk. If it does not work, your card may need replacing.
