Why does FedEx say my BorrowLenses order will arrive next week instead of tomorrow?

On Monday the 21st I placed an order from BorrowLenses.com consisting of a Nikon lens and battery. Immediately after placing the order, I received an email saying I needed to contact them because the billing and shipping address didn't match. Ok. I called back early Tuesday morning and resolved the issue. I chose 2-day round trip FedEx shipping, and need the lens to arrive by tomorrow (Jan 25) for a wedding I'm photographing on Saturday. The equipment will be shipped back on Jan 28. According to FedEx, however, the package was sent out for delivery earlier today and is still in Massachusetts (I live in NJ). The estimated arrival time is Jan 31, which I obviously can't have. So will my package arrive on time tomorrow or will I receive it a week late? I'm stressing out. Is this just a systematic error on FedEx's part? I'm awaiting a response from BorrowLenses now. Can anyone answer this?

This has to do with FedEx, not photography. Call FedEx.

Since you have a tracking number, call FedEx and ask them for specifics (how it was shipped, to where, when is the ETA).

It may be that Borrowlenses used the wrong shipping code, perhaps it is being routed to your billing address… Hard to say.

I have had stuff shipped before that I needed for a deadline, and the tracking number showed that it was 700 miles away on the night before it is due. But the next morning, it showed it was in town and on a truck out for delivery.

That is the nice thing about having 2 good local camera shops, I can reserve what I need and go pick it up instead of waiting on the delivery company.
