Nikon SLR Cameras

What's better a Nikon camera or a Canon?

I'm very into photography. I would like to take pictures that can zoom in with high definition I also like to model in my pictures along with friends. I want the camera to be able to focus on the image well and i'm very artistic (if that helps). I would also like the camera to have effects I can put on the pictures (filters maybe) although I'm good with photoshop so I can do that myself but it would be cool if it had that.

Ford vs. Chevy. Any brand of camera has models that can do what you're describing.

If you want in-camera effects, you'll need to look at the entry-level cameras - these kinds of features are not wanted by a majority of intermediate or professional users.

Forget it - if this is the only question you can think to ask, you shouldn't be allowed within 50 feet of a camera.

Canon and Nikon are only competitive in DSLRs ($500 and up) - not the best, just competitive - I still wouldn't buy either. Then again, I have a working brain.

It's also only fair to point out that the best camera in the world is a brick in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to use it.
