What price should I ask for a never used Nikon D5000?

Brand new perfect condition professional camera bag by Lowepro.

Takes amazing pictures. Absolutely nothing wrong at all. Have kept the battery out of it.

*A few years old, but only used once (I have become very ill and can't do my photography.)

Once the box is opened, it's no longer brand new. Once you leave the store with it, the price falls by half. The longer it stays with you, the lower the price goes. It doesn't matter if you didn't use it. Saying it "takes amazing pictures" runs contrary to "never used".

For auctions, try starting at $250 and see where it goes. If you're selling it outright, remember that brand new starts at around $500. Start at $400 then feel how far down the buyer would want to go. $300 wouldn't be bad at all for something this old.
