It come sin the box of the product, is registered to a signle individual and can be used on one computer only- you want to use Capture NX2, you are going t have to purchase your own copy. Personally I use it as part of my workflow, it is far superior for processing RAW files than ACR, though after using NX2 for the processing and light manipulation I use Photoshop (CS6 extended, I subscribe to Creative Cloud so its always at the latest edition) for any photoediting I need to do.
