What digital camera is best?

I haven't had a digital camera in a few years. Which brands are better than others, for a decent price? I'm trying to stay under 100.00. I have looked at Nikon, but I see mixed reviews. Ideas?

The newest model of the Canon Rebel is best. And you won't get a decent camera for under 450 dollars.

Instead of reading "reviews" do some independent research on the camera makers website to see which camera has the features you want. Most poor reviews by owners have all to do with their inexperience or expectations beyond the abilities of the camera to perform

Most "decent" P&S cameras that cost under $100 are not going to provide much in the way of features.

Maybe the best one in your price range is the Nikon S30.It is waterproof (down to 3 meters), shock proof and can take the abuse that many accidentally inflict on their cameras

This is your first digital camera for a few years so that you do not need something complicated. Besides, you are looking for something affordable. Olympus and Fujifilm are what you are looking for. Maybe Olympus VG160.

Nikon and Canon are best, but they are too expensive, there's no need to pay more.
