If you don't want autofocus the AI, AIS, and Series E versions also fit, while the 50mm f1.8 AF-S Nikkor, is a bit more expensive, lacks an aperture ring (which will be locked most of the time anyway), and gives you the option of body- or lens mounted AF.

In that price range, you'll be getting a badly abused used lens.

Up the budget so you can get something worthwhile.
