How to turn off flash when i'm in the macro mode? In other modes as well… Turning on flash just ruins some pic… And don't tell me to use other modes. Is there anyway we can turn off flash in other modes? Hhomework about 550D and Nikon DSLR's as well?

I'll have to tell you what you don't want to hear:
Use manual mode or aperture priority more (Av) and just don't have the flash popped up. It won't come up automatically then.
That's the single best solution.

Get out of the Macro Mode and use one of the Creative Zone Modes such as

P - Program
TV - Shutter-Priority
AV - Aperture-Priority
M - Manual Exposure

Using any one of P, TV, AV, or M would give you the control that you want.

This is one of the biggest reasons that I DON'T USE Full Auto or even Image Zones because of not wanting the Flash to be going off which I prefer to have so much more control on what the camera is capable of doing.

Try using program (P). Program allows the camera to choose the proper exposure time & aperture, but turns off automatic flash control.

Your Instruction Manual has the answers to help you. Go get it, then look at the table near the back… Pages 268-269… Called the 'Function Availability Table According to Shooting Modes'.

If you look at… Built-in Flash… On page 269 you will see in which shooting modes the flash fires automatically and which modes you can turn it On and Off, etc.

Don't forget to refer to this very informative Function Table whenever you're not sure of which shooting mode, a particular function works in.

If you don't have your Manual handy, simply download (and save) it from Canon.com
