Screen on my camera cracked?

So about a week ago I left my brand new camera in the car got back in and me and my friends were sitting in the back seat with it I think one of us might have sat on it or something but I turned it on and it shows nothing but I still takes pictures and if I take out the ad rad and hook it up to my computer it shows the pictures fine. I'm considering getting it fixed but I don't want get the screen replaced and pay for it then after realize that it's still broken. Do you think that if it still takes picture that it will still work like new when I get it fixed? Also it's a Nikon l320

Read the user guide to see if it is just a setting messed up.

Have it checked at a Nikon service and repair camera shop in your area then decide if you want it repaired.

If it takes pictures, then its fine. The screen is just to show your a preview of pictures before and after you take it (and of course change options such as lighting, etc).
