Suggestions for a DSLR camera?
I'm planning on taking a trip to The Bahamas in a couple months and I want to purchase a nice DSLR camera that I could capture my experiences on. I'd like a camera that takes high quality pictures and also high quality video but I'm not exactly sure where to start looking or what to start looking at. I'm partial to Nikon but only because I'm somewhat familiar with their quality. I'd be looking for a camera no more than $350. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Defiantly check out the canon ones on amazon. There are normal cameras such as this Panasonic Lumix camera that is 14.1 megapixels and it takes panoramas! And videos!
1) Panasonic don't make DSLRs.
2) You'll be lucky to find even a discontinued DSLR at $350.
Before you go any further, find out what a DSLR actually IS - then decide whether you need, or even want, one.
Frankly you don't have enough money. I prefer Canon and their least expensive dslr is about $500.
To suggest a camera with a higher mp count I'd say perhaps the t3i - new about $600.
You can definitely find a used DSLR with a lens for under $350. The Canon XSi is a very capable camera easily found for that price.
I'm sure Nikon has an equivalent since that's what you're more familiar with.
Check Amazon, their return policy has been a lifesaver to me in the past.
There are many cameras out there in the market, since you require a cam in a certain price range with good quality, I recommend Nikon D3100 to you. The reason of recommending D3100 is the high image quality of the cam and its available features in such a reasonable price.
