Should i sell my nikon D7100?

I really want to make a youtube channel and i can't do that because i can't see what i'm shooting and most of the youtubers out there use the flipout screen so i'm thinking about selling it and buying canon 70D, however i know D7100 is kinda better when it comes to photos, it's pretty sharp and D7100 has better ratings, so i'm kinda confused! Why would i sell a 10 and buy a 9.5 do you guys think it's stupid to sell a cam bcuz it's screen is not flipout?

There's NO problem with your D7100.

If you wanted an articulated LCD, you should have purchased a Nikon D5300.

It seems to me that you just bought the wrong model camera if you wanted to see yourself in the LCD.

Both cameras can produce usable video at 1920 x 1080 pixels.

What is not very smart is to sell a perfectly good camera, lose money on it and the lenses you have, just to get an articulated screen.

When you calculate the money you will lose by selling a perfectly fine camera that is missing one feature that you may or may not use and buy a different brand, you could have 1) purchased a 5" HD LCD Field Monitor (much larger by the way than you the LCD on a D7100 or 70D) or 2) spent $250 on a camcorder which are perfect for shooting Youtube videos

Here is a link to such a monitor. Buying it and mounting it on the top of your camera will do what you want for less total cash outlay and do it better.

By the time you have sold your D7100 and bought a replacement you will need to add lots of £$€ to meet the bill.
Just buy a camcorder! Keep your D7100 for stills

As for the 10 vs 9.5 rating. That is just blah-de-blah BS! A bunch of techie geeks with nothing better to do with their lives than point cameras at black and white test charts. I would bet my entire Canon kit against your D7100 that nobody would tell the difference between REAL PHOTOS taken with a 10 and a 9.5. In fact between a 10 and an 8!

I have a 70D and a camcorder. The camcorder is Way better for video than the 70D. The quality is indistinguishable, I can use it one-handed, the sensor doesn't overheat. My 70D with EF-S 15-85 is so darned heavy that holding it out to use the flip screen for video makes my wrists ache.

My camcorder is a Canon Legria HFR36 and is available for £180 plus another £25 for a battery with decent life - it will cost you much more than that to swap.
