Projector Background For Picture?

Hi I'm buying a projector with like 2200 brightness and I want to know if tbere is a way I can project and image on the wall to use as a background for a picture. I have a nikon camera that is very high quality. Anyways would I need like a green screen and just project the image on to the screen and then put the subject in front of the screen or what.

You can't put the subject right in front of the screen because the light from the projector would be on the subject and create a shadow on your image. If you take the picture off to the side, you might be able to do it. Have fun and experiment.

The most common setup is to project the image to the back side of a screen that is designed for that purpose.
The green screen is for Chroma Key, which is a totally different form of providing a backdrop image. A projector is not used in that process. For still shots, a green screen can be used in conjunction with an advanced photo editor such a Photoshop.
With Chroma Key, the photo editing is done to replace the green (or which ever color you wish) areas with photo image.
