So I have a nikon DX 18-55mm cam. And I put it to charge yesterday, now I came home from school, took a shower and I got out of the shower a few minutes ago, when I check if its fully charged, it's still charging! Most cameras take 4 hours to charge but I need this camera for school purposes! Its been charging since 4:30 pm yesterday till now 5:12 pm today! Wats going on with this thing! I took out the battery and put it in my camera and there's nothing popping up in the screen like "LOW BATTERY" or something like that! I need help fast please! D:

The 18-55 mm is a lens and does not need charging.

Which camera do you have? D3100? D5000? D3200? D5100?

In any case, the Li-ion battery should take about three hours to fully charge when nearly 100% depleted.

It is NEVER a good idea to run the battery flat and if you do, do NOT let it sit for more than a day before recharging. These two situations when you can actually damage your battery.

Hopefully you are using the charger that came with your camera with your battery in it.

If you are trying to charge it using the USB data port, then that is your problem. DSLR's are NOT cell phones which are charged via a USB charging port (on some of them)
