It depends.
Do you need the extra reach of the AF-S 70-300 mm VR lens?
Avoid the inexpensive 70-300 mm lens it is not nearly as good as the VR version

Have you considered the 55-300mm, I went with it and i'm not disappointed and it costs less then the 70-300.
