Most recommended nikon camera?

I recently had a problem with my old nikon, and I really want to know a highly recommended nikon, its time for a new one. My price range, i could live with spending about $1, 500 on the body.

The Nikon D7000 may just fit your needs.
They cost $1, 200 and with the added budget, you can buy more memory cards

If your problem involves just getting higher quality pictures, getting a new camera won't solve that.

Yea, probably the D7000.
But for $2, 100 (body only) you can buy the new D600, which DXOMark just rated as #2 in sensor quality behind the D800 and D800E.
To me, I would rather add $600 then spend $1, 500 and not get what you want.

Nikon D7000 would be the best choice for your budget.
