Lightroom issue in importing raw files?

I use lr 3.4 it doesn't import or even show a, preview of the.nef files i shoot with my nikon D5200

You need to update the Raw converter in Lightroom, unfortunately you need to update your version of Lightroom to have the Raw Converter that is up to date enough to open the NEF files from a Nikon D5200. They never tell you that when you update your camera. Once a new version of LR is released the older version stops getting the Raw Converter updates and the new (current) Raw Converter is not compatible with older versions of LR.

There's a workaround and that is to download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert your files to DNG and any version of LR, or Photoshop or Elements for that matter, can open them. But it's a chore.
