Is the Tamron 24-70mm ok to use with Nikon D7200?

I heard there were issues with crop sensors and softening with the 24-70mm. Also would my images be sharp?

Reviews I have read only criticise slow focus and vignetting at f/2.8 on full frame. Overall conclusion is an equal match for Canon and Nikon.

Yes, it's fine. Some say that you should always use a DX lens on a DX body, and that using FX lenses on DX bodies will result in lower levels of sharpness when compared to an equivalent or even lower-quality DX lens on a DX body.
