Can I tether my Nikon 1 J3 to my macbook pro?

Guest
I want to film videos with my Nikon 1 J3 with a 1 NIKKOR 18.5mm f/1.8 lens which has a good bokeh effect to it. But I need some way to focus it. Is there any way I could tether it to my computer like they do with the DSLR cameras?

You can tether only if both the camera's firmware and it's software can "talk". To find that out refer to your owner's manual for tethering. If it's not there… No.

Nope, the only cameras that Nikon supports for tethering are D3, D700, D300 and D90.
