Is Canon better than Nikon?

I'm thinking about getting either a Nikon D5200 or a Canon EOS T4i. Please offer some insight of what is better than the other.

NOPE
Both have their strengths, but no discernible weaknesses
The D5200 does have a higher performing sensor.
You can look here to see how the sensors of each camera performs

In the end, the actual images you produce has more to do with your skills using a fully adjustable camera.

Now you know why I call them the Idiots' Two.
I bet you've never heard of the Pentax K-30, or Sony.
If you think there's, 'Best,' beyond the way they feel in your hands, and only know two manufacturers, you aren't ready for a DSLR.
