Is a Nikon D2x good for todays standards?

I have a Nikon D3000 and was looking to upgrade to a Nikon D2x. I know that there's already a Nikon D3x and was wondering if the D2x is that bad. Also wondering the differences between the Nikon D2x and the Nikon D3000. I'm trying to get into sports photography and was thinking that the D2x would be good to help out with this. Also I was wondering if you could let me know how big I could blow up an image incase customers want to get poster sizes.

No.

In fact your old D3000 sensor slightly out performs the one on the much older D2x

The best thing to do depending upon your budget is to buy a Nikon D300 with battery grip or D7000. Those sensors are much better than the D2x

Here is how the D2x, D300 and D7000 sensors compare.
