How to Remote Shoot a Nikon J1 w/ MacBook PRO?

Is there a way to remotely use the Nikon J1 with a MacBook PRO? I want to record video and maybe I can use the HDMI cable of the mini USB. Is there a special software for this?

You can't.

It's called, 'Tethering,' and only works with a handful of DSLRs.

Actually there's special software but your camera has to be equipped for tethering as well. As already stated only a few dslr cameras are equipped this way.
