How to get my Nikon D5200 to display in color on my tv?

I recently got this camera and I hooked it up to the tv to look at some of the pictures I've taken and it's all black and white. Is there anyway to make the pictures display in color?

How are you hooking up your camera?

Are you using the HDMI port and the cable that came with your camera? Page 99 and 146 in your user manual.

Or are you using the A/V cable connected to your television? Page 145 in your user manual

I would review each of the steps found on page 145 of your Reference Manual.

One possibility is that you are viewing a raw image. Raw images tend to be duller than jpeg images. Maybe that is what you are seeing.

Make sure the cable is tight or replace the cable entirely.
