Good Waterproof Housing for Nikon D7000?

So, for this up-coming summer I'd love to grab an underwater housing to take some underwater shots. I'm 16 and have been into photography for awhile, but find that a housing would be awesome to experiment with and have a grand time at the beach with.
However; I don't have the $1, 500 + that many cost. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any GOOD, but less expensive underwater housings for the Nikon D7000.

Are you talking about diving, or just playing in the water, like snorkeling? If you want to actually dive with the camera, you need the $1, 500 housings.

If you just want to be able to take shots in shallow water, there are heavy plastic containers, basically a ziplock bag, made for the purpose. They are still not cheap, but they are a few hundred dollars instead of thousands. B&H Photo sells many kinds, but make sure the one you choose will provide protection at the depth you want to take it.

The other option is to buy a lesser camera made for the purpose. There are quite a few digital point and shoots that can be safely taken down to 50-60 feet, and they cost about the same as the bag option.

The thing is all these housing are specially made - not pre made… That's why they're so expensive.
Underwater housings for any dslr are going to cost probably twice (or more) what the camera did.
