I'm i the market to buy a new DSLR because mine recently broke. My only 2 requirements in that it needs to be under $400 and I would like for it to have a flip out screen, if not it's ok. Any brand is fine but I prefer Canon or nikon. Thanks in advance!

Added (1). For that person who said to use a neckstrap i actually do and you have no reason at all to say that beacuse I didn't even say how it broke. My tripod actually fell so yeah no need to film a YT video on the tripod w/ a neckstrap.

Only two dSLRs (with kit lenses) fit your budget and both do not have a flip out screen.

The cheapest I know of with a reticulated LCD is this.

If when your DSLR broke, the lens did not break, you can use it on a new camera of the same make (Canon, Nikon, etc.). The mounts are compatible. By buying the body only, you can save $100 or more. If your current camera is a Canon, you could get the Canon EOS Rebel SL1.

Or a Nikon D3200.

When you get the new camera, use the neckstrap. Maybe then it won't break.

Not sure about any dslr's with a flippable LCD screen.

Some mirrorless cameras have it:
Sony A5000
Sony A6000 (just flips halfway)
