Will the Quantaray 28-90mm f/3.5-5.6 SLR Lens fit my Nikon D3200 DSLR?

I've seen this lens on craigslist for fairly cheap but I'm not sure if it will fit my camera. I'm pretty sure that it will not be able to auto-focus. That's alright with me.

Will this lens fit my camera? Will I have to buy an adapter?

It is fairliy cheap because it was a cheap lens to begin with.

Unless it has an internal auto-focus scheme, you will have to manually focus the lens using your amazing D3200.

If the Quantaray lens has a Nikon mount, then it will fit your camera, but if it is NOT an auto-focus lens, your camera will not be able to meter using it. That is the real drawback to such a lens.

ONLY AF lenses can use the light meter in your camera and only AF-S or similar lenses can auto-focus.

Make sure that all lenses you buy are Nikon AF-S, AF-I or compatible to preserve autofocus capability. If you are willing to go manual, just make sure the lens mount is Nikon.

Quantaray is not a lens manufacturer. They simply rebadge lenses made by others so expect them to sell lenses for all camera mounts, not only Nikon. Make sure the lens you're eying has a Nikon mount. Avoid having to use an adapter as much as possible unless you know exactly what you are doing.
