Will nikon d80 lenses fit d7000?

No, you have to buy all new lenses to change camera bodies.

Duh… Have you bothered to even look for this answer? Both cameras will use just about any lens Nikon has made since about 1960.

Of course.

Have you looked at the compatible lenses in your D80 user manual.

All those lenses as well as any new AF-S lenses are totally compatible.

This is why you buy camera systems, so that all the lenses you accumulate over the years can be used on any new body you buy

With few exceptions (Nikon 1 cameras for instance) there are no dedicated lenses for a specific camera. A lens, is a lens, is a lens; and any lens that will fit a D80 will also fit a D7000.

There may be some incompatibilities however; such as an AF lens will not autofocus on entry level cameras (D3xxx or D5xxx, D40, D60), but will autofocus on the higher-end cameras. But even these lenses are not dedicated to a specific model.

If you didn't know the answer or you didn't have the courage to find it out yourself, you don't deserve to be a Nikonian.

Yes, they will fit a D7000 and work just as well as they do on a D80.

Upgrading the body can catch you out and it's not as obvious as some of these smart asses are making out.

If the lenses are DX type they won't fit a D600 or D800 though as those bodies need full frame lenses.
If the lenses are not AF-S types they won't autofocus on a cheaper body like the D5100 or D5200

So being sarcastic and making fun of the person asking the question isn't necessary. Upgrading bodies isn't as hassle-free as some people here are implying.
