Why won't my RAW files from my Nikon D3100 upload to Photoshop elements 6?

Does this program support raw shots? If not that's your problem. If that's the case you need an editor that does.

You need to download the raw update in adobe.com, look for D3100 in the recent raw update, download it and you r good to go.

The camera is a lot newer than the software. Elements 6.0 supports an ACR (Adobe Camera Raw processor) up to version 5.6.

Your D3100 NEF files need to be processed in version 6.3.

You need to convert your RAW files to the universal DNG format to process in Elements 6. Adobe provides a free converter. Converting retains all the photo data. Go to the link below and scroll down to "Downloads".
