Why are my pictures blurry when I import from my Nikon D3100 to IPhoto?

On my camera, the pictures looks perfect and in focus. When I import them to Iphoto the thumbnail are good but when I click on the photo to edit, It's gets blurry? I have tried taking pictures with different aperture, ISO and setting and it's always blurry. Is there another program I can use to open my photos on my Macbook? Why is it doing this? Help!

It's not the program or the camera - it's you. You apparently haven't learned how to operate your camera correctly so you're getting blur.

Instead of uploading it to iPhoto, try looking at the files using Preview. If it's not blurry, then iPhoto is the problem.

Why does everyone use IPhoto? It has nowhere near the support and compatibility of other programs like Adobe PS/PSE or Corel PSP. Use the View NX 2 software that came with the camera. If its blurred there its the camera (or photog). If not then you'll understand the crock that is IPhoto.

What you see in the computer's large monitor is more accurate than what you see in the small camera's LCD. The camera's tiny screen hides even gross errors on the picture. During Preview, try zooming in the picture to check if it's blurred there too. I'm almost sure it is.
