What speedlight will work for Nikon D2h?

I have a flash that works for my d3100 but not my d2h and the d2h was released in I think 2003 so what good speedlight flash's are good for the Nikon d2h

The D2h uses Nikon's both Nikon's older D-TTL as well as the newer, current i-TTL flash system. I see no reason why a speedlight that works with a D3200 (i-TTL) wouldn't work on a D2h (D-TTL / i-TTL). Have you checked the electronic contacts of your D3200? Does it work with other flash models?

The SB-800 was the Nikon's i-TTL Speedlight that was released around the same period as the D2h, and is still widely available second-hand. A cheaper option still, might be a second-hand D-TTL SB-80dx or SB-28dx (beware: there's also a incompatible SB-28 non-DX model). Stay away from the SB-50dx, it's not very powerful and uses expensive CR-123 batteries. Note that the older D-TTL models won't work with a D3200.

I use a cheap Metz 36 AF-4 N (for Nikon) as a backup, which gives very good, consistent results on older Nikons like a D2x and the newer ones, such as a D300 and D700.
