What size canvas can I use to print my pictures on?

I recently got a Nikon D3000 and was wondering how big of a canvas picture can I get printed that will still look good? Also is there a certain mode it should be on to produce the best pictures for prints?

Yes, there's a certain mode you should be using.

* Manual, using the cameras lightmeter to determine the proper exposure
* Shoot in RAW
* Process your RAW images using Lightroom CC

Doing this, you will be assured the best possible image quality and resolution.

Since canvas automatically reduces the apparent resolution of the image, you can probably get away with larger prints when printing on canvas.

Really the only people who can answer your question correctly is the photo lab that is printing your images on canvas.

Your camera has a 10 mp sensor, so should easily be able to print images that are 11 x 14 inches, probably more, but again you will have to ask the photo lab to be sure.

Remember to use a high enough shutter speed to that the images are not blurred by camera movement and that your images are tack sharp.

Don't bother printing. Use the digital file.
