What should I spend my money on? - 1

I want to buy two things; both I would have to save for. The digital camera I have now is 5 years old and the picture quality isn't so good. I Really want to buy a DSLR camera. (I was looking at the Nikon D3100) I also want to buy a pair of shoes that are $90.It sounds weird asking if I should get an expensive camera or a pair of shoes but I'm torn. I don't know which one to get and I want them both very much. I babysit a lot and currently I have $50 so it would take me a while to save up to the camera. :|
