Hi, I really want to get in to concert photography but i'm not sure what camera to get to start out with. I've been thinking about getting NIKON D3200 and a lens with large aperture. My budget is around 500.

Remember the security restrictions on "pro" cameras at concerts - "pro" cameras usually defined as cameras with removable lenses such as CSCs (EVILs) and DSLRs such as the Nikon D3200.

Of course, if you are invited to the concert (rather than being a member of the audience) actually to take photos then you will want to use a good camera such as a DSLR. If you want a high-aperture lens you will have to buy one extra - remember that high apertures have low numbers such as f1.8.

It's more about the lens.
You'll want fast lenses (f/1.8 primes, f/2.8 zooms).
What lenses you need depends on where you can position yourself. You could do with a 50mm f/1.8 which is inexpensive ($220), a 24-70 f/2.8 for $2000, or need something like a 70-200 f/2.8 which is $2400.
To do this right, you need unfettered access to the venue. You will also need a special pass to do this sort of work unless this is for small time bands in bars.
