What camera fits my description?

I'm looking for a DSLR camera that has video for around $400, if possible. I was looking at the Nikon d3000, which is $500, but it is out of my price range and does not have video. What camera would you recommend that is in my price range? I'm open to any brands, but I would prefer Nikon or Canon.

I can't think of any dSLR in this price range with video capabilities, you can try a mirror-less camera. They have dSLR sensor, hence the same image and video quality. They are more compact and easily portable. On downside they lack an optical view finder.
The Olympus E-PL1 suits your budget. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's less than a dSLR, it's a wonderful camera, you're gonna love it. Here is a picture I shot with my E-PL1 yesterday
Another good choice is Panasonic G2.

The D3000 is supposedly the cheapest dSLR today. You can look at secondhand models if you really want a dSLR at your budget.
