Water drop photography?

I tried to to take drop of water, my camera setting was f-7.1 ss-1600 iso-400
tried so many times can't get the good result.using nikon d7000

The best way to achieve this is by using a speedlight set to low power. The duration of the flash will be shorter than the fastest shutter speed on your camera by about 10 times… A good way to freeze very fast action. There are many tutorials on youtube regarding this form of photography.

Use the flash to halt the action, because the flash is faster than any shutter speed you have on your camera. So the shutter speed is irrelevant.
