Tether nikon d40 with lightroom 3?

I have tried several times but my camera will not show up? I had no problem when using apple aperture all i did was connect usb and turn on camera, then tell aperture to tether shoot… However i can't get lightroom to do so…
can someone tell me what i'm missing and how to shoot tethered?
thanks
Added (1). Ok thanks,
i use to do my portrait sessions tethered through aperture and was hopping to do the same in lightroom 3.

You can't.
Only certain Nikon and Canon dSLR cameras can be tethered via Lightroom 3.
What specifically are you shooting that needs a tethered camera?
Here are the Nikon dSLR's that can use the tether tool in Lightroom 3
